Lambing Mitts?!? Quickly added to queue :-D

steph

I'm making those mitts....today! (well, maybe tomorrow. or the next day. or soon. yep. soon!!!!!)

Lisa

Ah, CrazySheepLady!!! Too cute! I thought of you and your beloveds the whole time I knit them. True story! :)

Lisa

Steph, you'll love them! I used less than 100 yards...yay for instant gratification! :)

Gorgeous knits. I wish I could help you with the yarn questions but I always use sock yarn. My favorite by far is Knit Picks Stroll fingering. It's 75% merino wool/25% nylon. So soft and hard wearing too. If you have made a pair in worsted weight, fingering weight isn't any different, just more stitches. Good luck and I hope someone gives you some wonderful idea. My grown kids love to receive each pair of socks I make, and now I have in-law children as well!
Blessings,
Betsy

Clever to do socks in Worsted. That's a great color too.

I would pick a washable wool and almost any of them would be soft. Good luck! I love your hands/feet themed knitting, very pretty knits!

Merino wool!!!! Soft as soft can be, most sock yarns are a superwash merino blend, you can't go wrong there. Malabrigo has some nice, soft sock yarns, as does Mad Tosh.

Gracie

I have used Morehouse merino wool for hats and a blanket, and it is so soft, knitting socks with it is on my want to do list. http://www.morehousefarm.com/KnittingKits/Socks/Naturals/ I admire your lovely knitting, Lisa xx
